Wallingford Emergency Shelter first fundraising dinner Friday, Nov. 20, at Zandri’s Stillwood Inn. Goal is to con­struct a major addition onto the shel­ter for needy families (to be named in honor and memory of Marty B. Ru­bin).

Hors d’oeuvres/social hour is 6 to 7 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m. Tickets $40; cash bar. Italian style dinner with enter­tainment by hypnotist Jim Spinato, mc/comedian Andy “Buck Carr” Car­rano, DJ Sound Spectrum and imper­sonator Sonny Daye. Raffle and prizes.

Special award presentation Wallingford Emergency Shelter “Distinguished Service Award” honoree Tom Zappala.
